Aspergillus flavus utilizes trehalose as a sole carbon source similar to glucose. (a) Aspergillus flavus ATCC 204304 was incubated at 37°C on glucose peptone, trehalose peptone, and peptone alone media. The radial growth of these fungal growths was measured on the second day of incubation.
