In this paper, we define a new subclass <mml:math alttext="$\mathcal{M}_\alpha  \left( {A,B} \right)$" id="E1" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msub><mml:mi>ℳ</mml:mi><mml:mi>α</mml:mi></mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mo>(</mml:mo><mml:mrow><mml:mi>A</mml:mi><mml:mo>,</mml:mo><mml:mi>B</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mo>)</mml:mo></mml:mrow></mml:math> of univalent functions and investigate
several interesting characterization theorems involving a general class <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msup><mml:mrow><mml:mi mathvariant="script">S</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mi>*</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:msup><mml:mfenced open="[" close="]" separators="|"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>A</mml:mi><mml:mo>,</mml:mo><mml:mi>B</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:mfenced></mml:math> of starlike functions.
