By using the method of successive approximation, we prove the
existence and uniqueness of a solution of the fuzzy differential equation <mml:math alttext="$x'(t) = f(t,x(t)), x(t_0) = x_0$" id="E1" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:msup><mml:mi>x</mml:mi><mml:mo>&#x2032;</mml:mo></mml:msup><mml:mrow><mml:mo>(</mml:mo><mml:mi>t</mml:mi><mml:mo>)</mml:mo></mml:mrow><mml:mo>=</mml:mo><mml:mi>f</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mo>(</mml:mo><mml:mrow><mml:mi>t</mml:mi><mml:mo>,</mml:mo><mml:mi>x</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mo>(</mml:mo><mml:mi>t</mml:mi><mml:mo>)</mml:mo></mml:mrow></mml:mrow><mml:mo>)</mml:mo></mml:mrow><mml:mo>,</mml:mo><mml:mi>x</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mo>(</mml:mo><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mi>t</mml:mi><mml:mn>0</mml:mn></mml:msub></mml:mrow><mml:mo>)</mml:mo></mml:mrow><mml:mo>=</mml:mo><mml:msub><mml:mi>x</mml:mi><mml:mn>0</mml:mn></mml:msub></mml:mrow></mml:math>. We also consider an <mml:math alttext="$\epsilon$" id="E2" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mi>&#x3F5;</mml:mi></mml:math>-approximate solution of the above fuzzy differential
equation.
