(b) Mortality rates in relation to the AKIN stages, the risk of death continuously increased from stage 1 to 3. (c) Mortalities did not differ between subjects with and those without preexisting CKD. However, individuals undergoing RRT were at significantly higher risk to die than those without dialysis.
