Amplification of Frequency-Modulated Similariton Pulses in Length-Inhomogeneous Active Fibers

The GVD profiles providing self-similar propagation of FM parabolic pulses in the optical fiber with the following fixed parameters: 𝜏₀=10⁻¹² s, 𝐷₀=2⋅10⁻²⁷ s²/m and fitting parameters: 𝛼₀=10²⁴ s⁻², 𝛾=(0.5;1.0;1.5) m⁻¹ (a) and 𝛾=1 m⁻¹, 𝛼₀=(10²³,10²⁴,10²⁵) s⁻² (b). One can see that exponential character of GVD at 𝛾≈1 m⁻¹ is kept for the fibers shorter than 2 m.
