FO- and SO-PMD measurements from 28.4 km ITU-T G.652 buried fibre links. At each transmission bit-rate (2.5 Gb/s, 10 Gb/s and 40 Gb/s), the maximum tolerable amount of FO-PMD corresponds to 10% of the bit period for 1 dB penalty [35].
