Progress and Perspectives in Visible-Light-Driven Photocatalysis

Description

This special issue is addressed to researchers working in the fields of both fundamental and applied aspects of photocatalysis. It is intended to present the state-of-the-art, breakthroughs, and perspectives as well as applications of nanomaterials in photocatalysis, photocatalytic reactors and systems, solar energy conversion, and environmental problems.

In order to achieve this purposed aim we cordially invite investigators to contribute high quality original research articles as well as review papers that will stimulate the ongoing efforts to understand the relationship between the morphological and structural properties of nanomaterials and their various applications. We are particularly interested in articles that explore the fundamentals in photocatalytic processes, new capabilities in nanomaterials synthesis and nanoheterostructures design and describe the new developments in material properties, devices and systems, and their various applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Fundamental research on visible light photocatalysis
  • Development of novel visible-light active photocatalysts
  • Nanostructure and nanoheterostructure design for visible light photocatalysis
  • Characterization and evaluation of photocatalytic materials
  • Photocatalytic reactors and systems
  • Nanobiointerfaces for solar energy conversion
