Near IR polymersomes. (a) Conjugation of AlexaFlour-750 to PCL enables visualization in the near IR region (748 nm excitation). The figure shows fluorescence microscopy images of PCL-b-PEO vesicles incorporating 5% PCL-Alexa Flour. (b) The vesicles can also be imaged using Licor Odyssey near-IR imager where the dye was excited using a 800 nm laser. As a control, when PKH26-labeled vesicles was excited at 800 nm and no fluorescence was observed. Scale bar is 10 m.
