150 MHz 13C NMR spectra of (a) (16)-α-D-glucopyranan in D2O and (b)–(d) (16)-α-D-glucopyranans with 3-O-octadecyl groups in the proportion of 2.8, 4.7, and 15.7 mol% in DMSO-d6 at 40°C. The signal due to 3-O-octadecyl glucopyranoside residue appeared at 82.8 ppm and the octadecyl -OCH2- signal should overlap around 70–73 ppm.
