Antibacterial growth inhibition of polystyrene-based samples as Ag/TiO₂ concentration increases. Values are normalized with respect to a reference sample of pure polystyrene. Markers represent the estimated surface coverage of the Ag/TiO₂. The inhibition of E. coli growth is directly related to the surface coverage of Ag/TiO₂ on the PS surface.
