Bioactive 3D-Shaped Wound Dressings Synthesized from Bacterial Cellulose: Effect on Cell Adhesion of Polyvinyl Alcohol Integrated In Situ

Table 1

Mechanical properties of biomaterials in the wet state: Young’s modulus and tensile strength under uniaxial stress (the test was performed in air). Included is also the biomaterial swelling, swelling (%), water content (wt.%), time to reach equilibrium (h), and wet thickness (mm). Biomaterial swelling, swelling as percentage, was calculated according to (1). The time to reach swelling equilibrium was determined when mass changes of less than 1 wt.% were recorded. The wet thickness is reported in millimetres.
