Normalized fluorescence emission (excited at the corresponding absorption maximum) spectra of P2 as dilute solutions in pure hexane and mixed hexane/toluene solvents. Note that P2 has poor solubility in hexane, and the upper, clear portion of a saturated P2 solution in hexane was collected and used as the stock solution. The same amount of stock solution was used for the preparation of the solutions, and the overall concentration of P2 was kept constant.
