Selected Papers from ReCoSoc 2008

Description

International Workshop on Reconfigurable Communication Centric System-on-Chips (ReCoSoC 2008).

The ReCoSoC 2008 was a periodic annual meeting to expose and discuss gathered expertise as well as state of the art research around SoC related topics through plenary invited papers and posters.

ReCoSoC endeavours to encourage scientific exchanges and collaborations. ReCoSoC finds its roots in collaboration between LIRMM (CNRS, University of Montpellier II) and MES (Darmstadt University of Technology), which has been extended over time to new partners like the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) or Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).

The Reconfigurable Communication Centric Systems-on-Chips workshop is a forum to present and discuss new research on reconfigurable computing, systems and networks on chips areas.

Selection of the Conference Papers for Inclusion in the Special Issue

This special issue will accept extended articles selected from the peer-reviewed papers that have been accepted for presentation at the International Workshop on Reconfigurable Communication Centric System-on-Chips (ReCoSoC 2008, http://www-eel.upc.edu/recosoc/) which took place in Barcelona, Spain, July 9-11, 2008.

The special issue will be handled by the Guest Editors who will be in charge of:

  • Considering the recommendation and prioritizations provided by the ReCoSoC 2008 program committee members, organizing committee members and paper reviewers
  • Coordinating peer reviews of the selected extended papers

The best ranked papers in the evaluation of ReCoSoC 2008 program committee will be invited for submission to this special issue according to the following criteria:

  • Quality and originality of the research
  • Scientific value and potential impact
  • Comments and impression on the presentation of the results in the conference, ensuring that a diverse range of topics representative of important and growing research areas of reconfigurable computing and FPGAs will be covered

Preparation of Special Issue Extended Papers and Peer-Review Process

The main focus for improvement is to extend the content in terms of methodology, depth and the achieved results and benefits of the presented research work. The submitted papers should have 10 pages, which allow the author to include the requested extensions in a sufficient manner.

The submitted papers have to pass a peer review with at least three reviewers. The reviewers must be aware that the papers fulfill the high standards of the journal. It is guaranteed that the reviewers are experts in the topics of their review and have a high reputation in the community.

This special issue is only restricted to invited papers from the ReCoSoC2008 conference.

Authors should follow the International Journal of Reconfigurable Computing manuscript format described at the journal site http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijrc/.
