Results of multiple linear regression of log-transformed relative speed (RSP) versus log-transformed relative stride length (RSL) and stride frequency (SFR) for each substrate (codes as in Table 1). The coefficients of determination (𝑟²) were shown, as well as the intercepts (𝑎) and the partial regression coefficients (𝑏₁ for RSL, 𝑏₂ for SFR), with respective 𝑡 tests and 𝑃 values. 𝛽 is standardized partial regression coefficients for each variable. Sample size for each substrate is 𝑛=72. Only for WOOD the partial regression coefficients for both RSL and SFR differed significantly in pairwise comparisons among substrates.
