Algorithm 1

Numerical algorithm (continuous version).
(I) Compute the solution Φ ( 𝑥 ) and the Robin function 𝑅 ( 𝑥 ) and its first and second derivatives.
(II) Find 𝛿 𝑥 by solving 1 ( 𝛿 𝑥 ) = Φ ( 𝑥 + 𝛿 𝑥 ) Φ ( 𝑥 ) as in (1.6).
(III) Find 𝛿 𝑥 Δ = 𝛿 𝑥 𝐵 𝛿 𝑥 by solving 1 ( 𝛿 𝑥 Δ ) = 2 ( 𝛿 𝑥 ) as in (2.2).
(IV) Compute 𝛿 𝑥 𝐵 by adding 𝛿 𝑥 and 𝛿 𝑥 Δ .
