Visual illustration of the final modelling step of the simulation process, the step-taking model. This layer of simulation is a calibrated social-force module. The virtual forces from other agents and the walls as well as the driving force of the agent (determined by the local pathfinding algorithm illustrated in Figure 7) are calculated and the net force determines the point is space to which the pedestrian moves at each time step of the simulation process.
