Colostrum mononuclear (MN—panel (a)) and polymorphonuclear (PMN—panel (b)) phagocytes stimulated with glycine were staining with Fluo-3 to assess intracellular Ca2+ release as described in Section 2. Immunofluorescence analyses were then carried out by flow cytometry (FACScalibur, Becton Dickinson, San Jose, USA).
