The supplementary material includes figures on (1) the interaction energy, van der Waals energy and electrostatic energy between the peptide and membrane atoms in the pVEC simulation, (2) the change in the secondary structure and the distance between the N- and C-termini in the three simulations and (3) the change in energy, force and number of waters in the simulation in which the SMD force was applied to the C-terminus.
