Fucofuroeckol-A from Eisenia bicyclis Inhibits Inflammation in Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Mouse Macrophages via Downregulation of the MAPK/NF-κB Signaling Pathway

Figure 3

Effects of FF on NF-κB translocation and p-I-κBα expression in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages. (a) Western blot analysis showing the effect of FF treatment on expression of p-p65 and p-I-κBα in cytoplasmic and nuclear extracts. The cells were grown at 5 × 105 cells/well and treated with various concentrations FF for 1 h before LPS (1 μg/mL) treatment. After incubation for 24 h, cell lysates were collected and subjected to Western blots using antibodies specific for p-p65 and p-I-κBα. (b) The localization of the p-p65 protein in cells was determined with an antibody and an FITC-labeled anti-rabbit IgG antibody using confocal laser scanning microscopy. (c) p-p65-binding activities using an EMSA.
