Murine Pancreatic Beta TC3 Cells Show Greater -Oligoadenylate Synthetase (AS) Antiviral Enzyme Activity and Apoptosis Following IFN-
or Poly(I:C) Treatment than Pancreatic Alpha TC3 Cells
Figure 2
Enzyme activity of AS in non-stimulated and IFN-α stimulated beta TC3 and alpha TC3 cells. Beta TC3 (a) and alpha TC3 (b) cells were incubated in the presence or absence of 500 U/ml of IFN-α. After the indicated time periods, cell lysates were prepared. The lysates were incubated with 0.15 μCi α 32P-ATP for 120 minutes at 30 in the presence of 100 g/mL poly(I:C), and then separated by ascending TLC. The generated A were quantitated by PhosphorImager analysis. Enzyme activity was expressed in units per milligram (, standard deviations varied between 6–13%).
