Quantification of MCP-1 and IL-8 levels in rat AqH (a) and plasma (b). MCP-1 and IL-8 concentrations increased in the AqH and plasma of the DM group. The low dose of fenofibrate decreased the concentrations of IL-8; the high dose decreased the concentration of MCP-1 and IL-8 relative to the levels in the DM group in the AqH but not the plasma. AqH was pooled from one eye of five rats, and plasma was collected from the abdominal aortas of individual rats in each group.
