Effects of Fenofibrate on Adiponectin Expression in Retinas of Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats

Evaluation of the protein expression levels of adiponectin, adipoR1, and adipoR2 in glucose-stimulated RAW264.7 cells by western blot analysis. Only adiponectin increased in a dose-dependent manner with increasing glucose concentrations (a). Fenofibrate decreased the expression of adiponectin relative to the expression levels observed in the DM group (b). The -axis represents the ratios of the adiponectin, adipoR1, and adipoR2 blot densities to the β-actin blot density in each group. The sample was pooled from one eye of five rats in each group.
