Characterization of Diabetic Neuropathy in the Zucker Diabetic Sprague-Dawley Rat: A New Animal Model for Type 2 Diabetes

<div>Vascular relaxation by calcitonin gene-related peptide in epineurial arterioles from age-matched Sprague Dawley and ZDSD rats. Arterioles were treated as described in Figure <a href="../fig5/">5</a>. Incremental doses of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) were added to the bathing solution while recording steady state vessel diameter. Data are presented as the mean of % relaxation ± S.E.M.
