GDM rat model with moderate hyperglycemia induced by streptozotocin. Study design: female offspring were fed either normal or high-fat diets after weaning: control groups were fed normal diet (F1-CN) or high-fat diet (F1-CF) and rats in the diabetic group were fed normal diet (F1-DN) or high-fat diet (F1-DF). Adult females of the F1-CN and F1-DN groups were mated with control males to obtain F2 female offspring (F2-C and F2-D).
