Effect of the proteasome inhibitor MG132 on the decrease of Ib1 content caused by palmitate. Ib1 content was measured from MIN6 cells exposed to (a) 0.5 mM palmitate or (b) 1 μM thapsigargin (thaps) for 48 hrs in the presence or absence of 1 μM of the proteasome inhibitor MG132. The Ib1 level was normalized against the mSin3a. The figure shows the result of a representative experiment out of three. The results are expressed as the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments (; ).
