Sanbai Melon Seed Oil Exerts Its Protective Effects in a Diabetes Mellitus Model via the Akt/GSK-3<i>β</i>/Nrf2 Pathway

<div>The Akt pathway is necessary for SMSO-induced GSK-3<i>β</i> phosphorylation and Nrf2 nuclear translocation. LY294002 and SMSO were administered to rats via tail vein intravenous injection (0.5 mg/kg, weekly). Islet tissues were then collected for western blot analysis. (a) Protein expression level of n-Nrf2 and HO-1 in cells.
