ABSTRACTABSTRACT: To improve the reliability of the voltage source converter (VSC) based multi-terminal VSC-HVDC power transmission system(VSC-MTDC), a multi-terminal DC voltage control strategy suitable to wind farm connected with grid via VSC-MTDC is proposed. In such system, when load mutation occurred or any converter committed fault and exited, converter station with power regulation can not only keep the internal power balance, but avoid the situation that a single converter causes overload. By use of PSCAD/EMTDC, the proposed control strategy is simulated, and the result shows that the design of control strategy is correct and feasible.
