Low-Dose Alcohol Improves Lipid Metabolism through Store-Operated Ca2+ Channel-Induced PPARγ Expression in Obese Mice

Low-dose alcohol consumption reduced weight gain in HFD-induced obese mice. Mice fed with ND or HFD for 12 weeks were administrated with alcohol at a dose of 0.8 g/kg by gavage for 4 weeks: (a) the change of body weight in all group mice and (b) visceral fat-to-body weight ratio was measured after 16 weeks. n = 8 per group.  < 0.05 vs. ND group; # < 0.05 vs. HFD group.
