SRCR induced activation of caspases in human OSCC cells. (a–d) After incubating SCC4 and HSC3 cells with SRCR for 24 h, caspase-3 and caspase-9 activity was examined using a caspase activity kit; (e-f) after incubating cells with SRCR at various concentrations for 24 h, the expression levels of caspase-3 and caspase-9 proteins were examined via western blot analysis; (g-h) after pretreating cells with a caspase-3 inhibitor (z-DEVD-FMK) or caspase-9 inhibitor (z-LEHD-FMK) for 30 min followed by SRCR stimulation for 48 h, cell proliferation was assessed via a CCK-8 assay. Results are expressed as mean ± SD. compared to the control group; ^# compared to the SRCR-treated group.
