In Vitro Gastrointestinal Digestion of Polyonatum cyrtonema Polysaccharides and Impact on Intestinal Flora

Table 2

Variations in Mw of PCPs throughout in vitro digestion and fermentation.

SamplesMw (kDa)

Data are presented as mean ± SD (n = 5), with statistical significance observed among variables a–d () based on a Duncan test within the same group but at varying time points. PCPs-S, PCPs-G, and PCPs-I refer to samples of PCPs subjected to digestion with different fluids, namely, saliva, gastric, and intestinal, respectively. PCPs-6 h, PCPs-12 h, and PCPs-24 h represent PCPs undergoing fermentation by human fecal microbiota for 6, 12, and 24 hours, respectively.
