Quantification of Th17 cells in the peripheral blood from patients with RA and SLE. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells from patients with RA and SLE and healthy controls were immunostained for the determination of Th17 (CD4+ IL-17A+) and Th1/Th17 (CD4+ IL-17A+ IFN-γ+) lymphocytes, and analyzed by flow cytometry, as stated in materials and methods.
