Myeloperoxidase (MPO)+ cells (dark red color), detected by Immunostaining, were mainly located in tubular lumens (e, f) and interstitial areas (b–e); and a few were also seen in tubular areas (a, c) and glomerular areas. MPO+ cells were significantly increased by IR and CsA but decreased by HBSP (g). The yellow arrow indicated a MPO+ cell with apoptotic feature (f).
