Time-Dependent Effect of Oral Morphine Consumption on the Development of Cytotrophoblast and Syncytiotrophoblast Cells of the Placental Layers during the Three Different Periods of Pregnancy in Wistar Rats

Figure 3

Reviewing the graph illustrating the time-dependent effect of oral morphine consumption on the development of the cells in the maternal portion of the placenta for three different periods of pregnancy (9-day, 10-day, and 14-day pregnant mothers), and a comparison between the experimental (E) groups and the control (C) groups reveals an increase in the number of cells in the maternal portion of the placenta in the experimental group, compared to that of the control groups ((a) value of <0.01 and (b) value of <0.05 indicating a significant difference).
