(a) Histopathologic examination of the skin biopsy specimen showed a subepidermal blister (arrow indicated) with abundant neutrophils infiltration and only occasional eosinophils (H&E stain, 100x). (b) Direct immunofluorescence examination showed linear, granular deposition of C1q (b), C3 (c), and IgG (d) at the dermoepidermal junction (400x); less IgM and IgA were detected.
