PDA: patent ductus arteriosus; NICU: neonatal intensive care unit. Antenatal corticosteroid treatment was uncompleted or complete when mother received one or two doses of betamethasone, respectively, within one week and 24 h before delivery. Apgar test ranged from 1 to 10: less than 5 means risk; up to 7 means normal. Twin position means the position at birth, 1 being the infant who was nearest to the cervix.
