Prophylactic mRNA Vaccination against Allergy Confers Long-Term Memory Responses and Persistent Protection in Mice

Levels of IL-5 (a) and IFN-γ (b) as well as the percentage of eosinophils (c) and neutrophils (d) of total leukocytes in BAL fluids determined 9 months after mRNA immunization. Effects of prevaccination on lung function were determined by measuring airway hyperresponsiveness via noninvasive whole-body plethysmography throughout the experiment (e) or invasive measurement of lung resistance (f) and dynamic compliance (g) at the endpoint.
