Prediction of future colonization with P. aeruginosa. Patients () who changed colonization status to chronic (Leeds 1) within three years were identified. Controls were patients staying in Leeds class 2, 3, or 4 (intermittent, free, or never colonized with P. aeruginosa). ROC-curves were generated to evaluate if any of the four tests (IgA BPI-ANCA, AP, ELA, or ExoA) was able to find these patients three years before the chronic colonization was established. None of the tests could be used for that purpose.
