Electroporated Antigen-Encoding mRNA Is Not a Danger Signal to Human Mature Monocyte-Derived Dendritic Cells

Massive cytokine secretion after electroporation with mRNA encoding a DC-activating protein. DCs were electroporated either without RNA (Mock) or with RNA encoding the tumor antigen MelanA (MelanA) or MelanA and constitutively active stabilized mutated IKKβ. Twenty-four hours after electroporation, supernatants of the cells were taken and the cytokine secretion by the cells was determined in a cytometric bead array.
