(c) Each mouse was intramuscularly immunized with 100 μg of the pDNAs with or without 0.1515 mM SHS in 100 μL of PBS (50 μL/leg) on days 0, 14, and 28. Mice were bled intracardially and euthanized by cervical dislocation on the 7th day after the third immunization, following the guidelines established by the IACUC and NIH.
