Effects of anti-miR-373 on the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio. (a, b) Anti-miR-373 could increase the Bax expression and reduce the Bcl-2 expression which resulted in the higher Bax/Bcl-2 ratio in the U-251 cells. (c, d) After ionizing radiation (IR), the Bax expression was increased combined with lower Bcl-2 expression; furthermore, the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio was also enhanced significantly after being combined with anti-miR-373 transfection. (e, f) After TMZ treatment, the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio was also increased obviously in the presence or absence of anti-miR-373 transfection, respectively (bars indicate the standard deviation of the mean; each experiment was performed in triplicate; ; ).
