Helicobacter pylori Infection Elicits Type I Interferon Response in Human Monocytes via Toll-Like Receptor 8 Signaling

<div>Expression levels of <i>TLR7</i> and <i>TLR8</i> transcripts in the THP-1 cells infected with live and death bacteria. THP-1 cells were uninfected (mock) or exposed to live, heat-, or formalin-inactivated <i>H. pylori</i> J99 strain at MOI 10 for 16 hours. The relative expression of <i>TLR7</i> and <i>TLR8</i> mRNA transcripts relative to the <i>β</i>-<i>actin</i> endogenous housekeeping gene.
