(a) Comparison of gene expression patterns between the monkeypox-infected Macaca mulatta kidney epithelial (MK2) cells and the mock control. Cluster 1 (c1) contained the most significant highly expressed genes and pathways in the monkeypox-infected group, whereas c2 exerted an opposite trend. The GO analysis suggested that inflammatory and chemokine-related peptidoglycan pathways were significantly correlated with the monkeypox-infected Macaca mulatta kidney epithelial (MK2) cell model.
