The Pharmacologically Active Alkaloid Cryptolepine Activates a Type 1 Interferon Response That Is Independent of MAVS and STING Pathways

Cryptolepine activates IFN-1 response regardless of TBK1 inhibition in THP1-derived macrophages. The derived macrophages from the parent THP1 cells were cocultured with GSK6812 and HSV-60 (a) or GSK6812 and cryptolepine (CRYPT) (b), and the IFIT1 induction was evaluated after 24 h.
