Paraoxonases

Description

The objectives of the special issue on paraoxonases (PONs) are to bring the latest aspects of paraoxonases (PON 1, 2, 3) research on the genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, and structural biology of PONs. The role of PONs in human diseases including inflammation, and in toxicity protection, as well as PONs regulation, will be also covered in this special issue. We invite authors to submit an original and review paper to this special issue. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Paraoxonases 1 , 2, and 3 (PONs 1, 2, 3) structure, function relationships, and regulation
  • Biological activities and relation to human diseases
  • Antioxidant
  • Antiatherosclerotic
  • Antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antitoxic, and interactions with cells
