(b) displays the temporal surface temperature (distance from surface z=0?nm) evolution for different Bi-film-thicknesses. For all numerical integrations, the thickness of the Si-slab was 100?nm, but for a better representation only the first 30?nm of the total integration slab are shown in (a). Note, the unusual, nonlinear color scale in (a) is for descriptive reasons.
