TEM images of hybrid structures of gold nanorods and functionalized SWNTs in various magnifications (a)–(d). (Red solid arrows in images indicate functionalized SWNTs). The mixed solution was dried out for less than 20 minutes for TEM. The functionalized SWNTs solution was diluted as 0.02 mg/L, and Au nanorods solution also diluted by 1000 times compared to the condensed Au nanorods solution.
