Cubic-to-Tetragonal Phase Transitions in Ag–Cu Nanorods
Figure 10
The average temperature of the individual atomic planes of the composite Ag–Cu–Ag NR with side length equal to 1.6 and 10 Cu atomic planes. The vertical dotted lines ideally locate the Ag–Cu interfaces. The curves are downshifted of 5 and 10 K for avoiding superposition. From bottom to top, the data refer to the temperature profiles at the beginning of the fcc-to-bct phase transition in Ag end portions, after about 29 ps, and after about 30 ps. At longer times, the temperature of interfacial planes starts decreasing.
