UV spectra for the titration of 17 nm GNP with melanin. Melanin is mixed with GNP at final concentrations of 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 mg/mL for melanin and 0.34 mM for GNP. UV absorbance of the binding reactions is shown. Red-shift of the absorbance peak indicates the increasing diameter of binding complex.
