A Novel Complex: A Quantum Dot Conjugated to an Active T<i>7</i> RNA Polymerase

<table>Separation of QD : T<i>7</i>RNAP complexes from free RNAPs. The Bio-T<i>7</i> RNAPs are mixed with streptavidin-coated QDs thus forming QD : T<i>7</i>RNAP complexes. The suspension is mixed with an avidin resin to capture the remaining free Bio-T<i>7</i> RNAPs. Once the suspension is centrifuged on a 0.45 <i>μ</i>m filter only the QD : T<i>7</i>RNAP complexes and free QDs reach the bottom. </table>
