The qualitative details such as overall size of different structures can be observed due to enhancement of the interfaces between different organs. The intensity in (b) corresponds to the index of refraction, by which quantitative analysis such as identification of different organs by mass density can be carried out after tomographic reconstruction (scale bars, 1 mm).
